Laird's has released an apple brandy for America's 250th Anniversary, and they've used a lot of little call outs to America's history with the stats. From being 13 years old to honor the original 13 colonies, to 56% alcohol to honor the 56 signatures on the declaration of independence. But does fancy packaging and cool call outs make for a spirit worth of the $200 price tag? Let's find out!

With the release of our single barrel, The Mountain, the owner of Oade came out to do a tasting and then hang out for some pours. Dan has done an awesome job finding truly special barrels from the Gascony region of France. This barrel from Domaine de Marquestau speaks volumes about the quality he has been able to acquire. It is to date, my favorite Armagnac.

This was a shockingly good release. Stranahan's makes some good whiskey. But one thing is for sure, they make GREAT limited releases. Not to mention that this is probably my favorite looking Stranahan's release to date, and one of the best looking 250th Anniversary releases to date.
