MSRP: $175
Mash: Fins Bois grapes
Proof: 126
Age: 25yrs
Nose: maple oatmeal, plum, red grape, vanilla cream, raisins, brown sugar
Palate: the grape takes much more of a front seat and blends with the vanilla for a candy like experience, followed by fresh tanned leather and some oak tannin, maple sugar, stewed cherry, and some brown sugar streusel
Finish: medium finish of oak tannin and brown sugar streusel with vanilla icing
Rating: Buy it (Out of Hoard, Buy, Try, Pass)
Thoughts: This drinks like a bourbon drinkers cognac. It is high proof and delivers a punchy but beautiful array of flavor. The only negative thing is the oak tannins that could use to be mellowed out just a little more. Otherwise this is a dessert pour if ever there was one. The sweetness on the palate that is strewn with dark and almost subtle earthy qualities makes for a profile that begs you to keep returning to it. If this was cheaper, I'd have multiple on hand at all times. Keep an eye out for these PM Spirits Collabs with Remi Landier, they have quite a few releases at varying ages and price points.
