250th Anniversary Releases

2026 has brought a flood of 250th Anniversary releases from distilleries and producers across the United States. From bourbon and rye to American single malt, brandy, and beyond, I've done my best to gather them all in one place. I'll also be reviewing as many as I can along the way. Cheers!

What Makes it Special: $1 from every bottle sold goes to support Arcadia Center, a nonprofit helping veterans. But what really makes this special is that it is an affordable rye with a great finish. Copper & Cask has great stocks of whiskey that they're constantly experimenting with in their warehouse in Rhode Island. Taking a well aged MGP rye and finishing it in rum is one of those just classic finishes. Unlike some more well known rum finished ryes like Angel's Envy, this allows the rye to shine forward with the rum as something that adds to the experience, and doesn't overtake it.

What Makes it Special: $1 from every bottle sold goes to support Arcadia Center, a nonprofit helping veterans. Wave that flag is a clever name to use for finishing a bourbon with wave staves. If you're not familiar with wave staves, they are a type of barrel stave that have grooves cut into the stave itself to allow for further surface area that the liquid can come into contact with. In my limited experience with wave staves, they tend to produce a very sweet and tropical fruit forward effect on the whiskey itself. After drinking this bottle, it is no different. If you enjoy fruit forward and sweet pours, this is definitely a bottle for you.
